Warts are usually not painful but it is recommended to immediately get rid of them through home remedies for warts.
Warts are rough lumps that appear on the skin, usually due to Human Papillomavirus (HPV) which causes the keratin protein in the skin to grow much faster than usual. Warts are often painless but aesthetically appealing.
There are many different types of warts, most of them appear on the hands and feet but they can likely grow on any part of the body, including the face, any other body part, even genitals.
Causes
Since it is viral, warts are mostly causes by contact with someone who is infected by the Human Papillomavirus or by using their towels, shoes or wet floor. People who have cuts on their skin especially on soles are prone to catch this virus quickly if he/she walks around barefoot, especially in wet places like swimming pools.
If you already have wart/s on your skin, then scratching or biting at it will cause the wart to spread to other areas. Biting your fingernails or sucking on fingers will also cause warts to spread on the body.
