Chinese Jasmine Green Tea
Ingredients:
- Dried green tea leaves
- Jasmine flowers
- Cinnamon sticks, freshly snapped in half
- 2 cups boiling water
- Strainer, if desired
Honey
In two mugs, place one teaspoon each of green tea leaves and a couple of jasmine flowers each. Pour in the boiling water. Place the cinnamon sticks in the hot tea. Add one to two teaspoons of honey in the tea. Cover with saucers. Allow to sit for about five minutes, until the leaves have soaked in the water and sunk to the bottom. Strain the tea if desired, or keep the leaves and flowers for aesthetic appeal.
