Influenza, (Flu)
Influenza is commonly known as “the flu”. Flu is an infectious disease caused by influenza virus, these virus attacks on respiratory tract.
Symptoms: Sore throat, Cough, Headache, Weakness, Muscle pain, Body pain, Feeling tired, Running nose, Watery eyes, Chill, High fever, Body temperature may touch 104 °F. Children may have nausea and vomiting but not in adult.
Try Home Remedy:
1. Drink black tea with ginger and honey two - three time in a day to sooth your Sore throat
2. One table spoon honey (slightly warm in hot water) add a pinch of cinnamon powder, mix it well and have this mixture two times a day to remove influenza virus
3. Take two table spoon red onion juice and add one table spoon honey, mix it well. Have one table spoon of this mixture three times a day
4. Add four table spoon fenugreek (methi) powder, four table spoon lemon juice, one table spoon honey and one table spoon ginger paste into one glass of hot water. Mix this mixture and boil for 12-15 min. Drink this mixture many time in a day to enhance sweating and reduce fever.
5. Blend one bulb of garlic, two table spoon honey, three cup of pineapple juice, quarter table spoon cayenne powder, and juice of fresh six lemon. Store this mixture in a glass jar and take one cup four times a day until all the symptoms gone.
Prevention:
1. To avoid flu inhale steam to keep clean your respiratory tract
2. Increase eating garlic to restrict influenza virus
3. Wash your hand often with soap or alcohol based hand rub
4. Cover your cough and sneezes
5. Avoid crowds and avoid close contact with sick people
6. Get flu vaccinated
7. Get plenty of sleep and drink plenty of fluid
Medicine: 1. Medical doctors prescribe antiviral drugs such as Oseltamivir (Tamiflu®) and Zanamivir, (Relenza®), Amantadine (Symmetrel®), and rimantadine (Flumadine®). Talk to your health care provider if you think you need antiviral drugs.
