There are many techniques for body weight loss (especially body fat) to gain and maintain your healthy body. Therefore, it is very important to know accurate ways to measure and monitor the progress of weight loss. Here eight ways are described.
1. Weight scale: Decreasing number on weight scale is an indicator for your fat loss. But some time you may not observe any significant difference on the weight scale, even you are trying hard for loss of your body fat. This is because, as you lost your body fat your body muscle start building. Therefore, weight scale in not an accurate tool to measure and monitor your body fat loss even you are losing your body fat. In this situation you may have to consider other ways.
2. Measuring tape: Measuring tape is a simple, effective, convenient and good tool to measure changes in your body. Before you start losing your body weight (fat) program, measure your every body parts carefully and note down. And then measure every three or four week same body part to compare it.
3. Body fat caliper: This tool is used to measure body fat. You can use this to take initial readings of your body fat before you start fat loss program and keep taking readings every three or four weeks to compare it.
4. Visual method, take photos: Before starting your fat loss program, take your photo from camera and keep taking your photos every three or four week. The distance and zoom must be constant every time when you take you photos. You can compare the photos to observe the changes happening in your body.
5. Size of your clothes: Note down size of your clothes and other apparel before you start your fat loss program. And see after your goal if any size changes happen in your apparel.
6. Make a chart: You should note down your weight scale, measuring tape and body fat caliper reading of your body and body parts in a note book or on your electronic file. And keep maintain that note book. These records can be used as a comparison chart.
7. Compliment from other people: Ask from your family, friend, and colleagues to look at you and see if they notice any changes in your body. Those people can notice changes in you who have seen your six months before.
8. Use mirror: You can also see yourself in the mirror and notice changes in your body shape and size. You may notice changes as you progress in your fat lose program.
